The Pax Silica Economic Security Zone represents a genuine opportunity for the Philippines to participate in the global semiconductor and AI supply chain ecosystem, an ambition with legitimate strategic, economic, and technological justifications. However, ambition does not exempt a project from the physical laws of thermodynamics, the ecological limits of watersheds, or the moral imperatives of indigenous rights.
